Description: Trifari kTf Clear Rhinestone Clip-Mates Double Pin (Duette) - Most people refer to these as duettes, but technically Coro used the term duette and Trifari used the term Clip-Mates, which you can see on the signature part of the piece. Two lacey looking dress clips set with all clear rhinestones, silvertone setting. Usual dress clip finding for Clipmates. Slightly over 2 3/4" x 1 1/4" assembled. Marked CLIPMATES and Pat. No. 2050804, clips themselves are marked KTF, dating this to 1936-37. One clip slides off very easily, the other I have not been able to remove for fear of breaking the mechanism. Usual uniform greying of the stones typical of these mid-1930's pieces. Lovely design. Very similar dress clips were patented by Trifari in late 1937 though I could not find this specific one (Patent number on the frame is for the frame itself.)

Item: SD5-1060

Price: $72.50 US

Description: Weiss Blue and Clear Rhinestone Brooch and Earrings Set - Wowee! The brilliant quality stones that made Weiss famous were used in these pieces. Huge 11mm blue rhinestones (I would consider this blue to be a cross between light sapphire and aqua) accented with 8mm stones on the top layer on the brooch and 4mm stones on the earrings, all topped with pave set swirls. Heavy rhodium plate. Brooch is 1 3/4" in diameter, and done in two layers. Earrings are clip, 3/4" in diameter. Excellent quality and condition, wonderful set. All pieces signed Weiss.

Item: SS5-1018

Price: $195.00/set US

•••

Description: Weiss Teardrop and Round Clear Rhinestone Earrings - All stones prong set, with the exception of the smallest clear rounds. Silvertone setting, 1 1/4" x 3/4". Excellent vintage condition with just a bit of darkening at the tips of some of the pear stones.

Item: SE5-1190

Price: $25.00 US

•••

Description: Hollycraft Copr. 1950 Lt. Sapphire/Rose Rhinestone Brooch - 1950's Hollycraft just has a certain look that is very appealing to collectors; this lovely combination of light sapphire blue and rose pink rhinestones is no exception. The pink is used as a center for goldtone florals, with the long blue ovals and tiny rounds continuing the flower and vine theme. Note the attention to detail (this brooch is fairly small, 1 3/4" x 1 3/8" and slightly domed) with the ends of the unusually long and thin ovals protected with a metal "bezel". Signed Hollycraft and Copr. 1950, excellent shape, with one of the tiny rounds being a replacement.

Item: SP5-1121

Price: $95.00 US

Description: Weiss Deep Sapphire and Clear Necklace and Earring Set - Gorgeous set. Festoon necklace uses round and marquise stones with clear rhinestone set "wings". Earrings use the same components, with clear rhinestone set swirl. Adjustable hook necklace up to 15" with center about 1" wide, earrings are 7/8" x 1/2". Silvertone setting. Very good condition with 2 of the marquises seeming slightly lighter (due to aging) than the rest depending on the light source.

Item: SS5-765

Price: $145.00/set US

•••

Description: Weiss Marquise, Square and Baguette Clear Rhinestone Earrings - Lots of sparkle in these! All stones prong set, silvertone setting. 1 3/8" x 7/8" at widest points. Clipbacks. Excellent condition.

Item: SE5-1191

Price: $25.00 US

•••

Description: Weiss Colorado Topaz Rhinestone Bracelet - This is a well-known Weiss "design" using octagonal or emerald cut stones. Beautiful quality rhinestones, set in darkened silvertone, very good shape except for plating on underside-apparently this was a favorite bracelet of the previous owner, as the plating that would have been in contact with the skin is well worn. Stones are in excellent condition and all that "shows" when worn looks great. Rhinestone set push-in v-clasp, 6 3/4" x 1/4". Price reflects plating wear on back.

Item: SB5-615

Price: $42.50 US

•••

Description: Weiss Pin Pendant/Earrings Set in Bermuda Blue Cupcake Rivolis - Depending on which way the light hits these, I see Capri (peacock) blue, teal and peridot colors in the rivolis, and the small accent rhinestones are in both teal and Capri. Please notice how the rivolis graduate in size from bottom to top on all pieces. Darkened silvertone setting, brooch is 2 3/4" x 2, earrings are clip, 1 3/8" x 7/8". Brooch is marked Weiss in oval cartouche at center back, earrings are unmarked but an obvious match. These pieces use the little floral "knobs" that Weiss seemed to use to attach most rivoli stones. The brooch is to be worn in the direction shown, but would be worn upside down if used as a pendant. ( It would be fun to fashion a special bead necklace of Capri and teal Swarovski crystal beads to use when you want to use this as a pendant, but this could also be worn on an oxidized silver heavy chain or perhaps even on a pearl necklace.) Excellent condition, it appears that one end of the pin clasp might have been resoldered at some point, but it seems very sturdy. Incredible color and sparkle.

Description: Trifari Goldtone Flowing Brooch - This tailored looking brooch is large (3 3/8" x 1 3/8") and in apparently unworn condition. Perfect for work or for the person with elegant, understated taste. And the price is right! See also identical piece in silvertone. Trifari ran magazine advertising in 1965 called "Blondes" which promoted the idea of buying brooches that were made in your choice of "golden blonde" (goldtone) or "platinum blonde" (silvertone). This is possibly from this series, though I have seen a 1966 catalog ad using this actual design, from the series called "Gold Rush". I have also seen this design in white enamel.

Item: SP5-704

Price: $9.50 US (goldtone)

Description: Eisenberg Script E Clear Rhinestone Brooch-Beautiful smaller brooch (1 3/4" x 1 1/4") with a huge 13mm center dentelle surrounded by marquises and pears. I see one prong missing, otherwise excellent condition. Just right for those with smaller taste or for using on a handbag or hat.

Description: Weiss Black Diamond Rhinestone Earrings - From a well-known Weiss design grouping, each earring has 3 emerald-cut black diamond rhinestones and a single round black diamond rhinestone. Clip mechanism, all stones prong set, original, excellent condition with one stone showing mild spotting. Silvertone (probably rhodium) setting, 1" x 3/4".

Description: Trifari Brooch and Earrings in Multi-Blue Rhinestones - Quality 1960's pieces, probably late Philippe, with the "filled-in" dome earrings used on the top quality sets of this era. While my flash camera makes the difference in the blues in the different cuts of stones quite obvious, in person you will find these differences to be much more subtle, particularly on the earrings. The brooch uses octagonal (emerald) cuts in different sizes while the earrings seem to be pretty much one size; all pieces use an occasional small blue round; both brooches have paved "ribbon" designs. All stones appear to be original, even the pave. Goldtone Trifanium plating is heavy and very close to pristine. Excellent quality, condition and design. Top Trifari continues to disappear into private collections and will probably not re-emerge for a long time.

Item: SS5-588

Price: $125.00/set US

•••

Description: Eisenberg Clear Rhinestone Bracelet - Beautiful piece using octagonal (emerald cut) and dentelle (fancy cut) rounds that alternate along what is basically a two line bracelet. All prong set, rhodium? plate with rhinestone set push in clasp and safety chain. Excellent condition, 7" x 9/16". Notice that though the signature strike is only partial, that this is the OLD Eisenberg mark, usually used for Eisenberg Original pieces.

Item: SB5-1027

Price: $145.00 US

•••

Description: Jomaz Clear Rhinestone Scalloped Link Necklace - What may look like black on your monitor is actually reflection - this is actually pristine rhodium plate, set with tiny clear rhinestones; pattern goes completely around and has a hidden foldover clasp that is slightly larger than the rhinestone set connector links you see in the picture. Approximately 287 rhinestones in this piece, I can't find any that are missing or not original.

Item: SN5-169

Price: $85.00 US

•••

Description: Pennino Clear Rhinestone Leaf Earrings - A well known Pennino design, these use small clears on the leaves and baguettes on the "stems". Donut hole clip mechanism, rhodium plating, about 1" x 3/4". Excellent condition, these open and close like a dream and are a testament to the days when quality was king. I believe I sold the matching necklace years ago.

Item: SE5-1228

Price: $47.50 US

•••

Description: Coro Duette with Baguettes and Pave Leaves - This is somewhat of a mystery duette, as I am not 100% sure that this is the correct frame for these fur clips. They do fit the frame but usually Coro designed the frame so that isn't seen at all. The fur clips themselves are in excellent condition, with this appearing to be a stylized floral with the baguettes forming one part and the pave leaves and baguette stem forming the other. Very faintly the name? Beee in script has been incised on the fur clip finding of one clip. Each clip is about 1 3/4" x 3/4", very good condition with just a very slight amount of yellowing on some of the stones.

Item: SD5-1061

•••

Description: Eisenberg Smokey Topaz Briolette Earrings - Odd, rare pieces for Eisenberg, these use huge dark brown glass briolettes surrounded by a collar of prong set clear rhinestones. Goldtone setting, clip findings. 5/8" in diameter and almost 7/8" deep. I would love to see the matching pieces! Very good condition with some greying to the clear rhinestones.

•••

Description: Staret Floral Brooch with Cobalt Blue Stones - Staret, as far as I know, was only in business during the 1940's, and this piece reflects its wartime genesis. It is my belief that the blue stones are plastic, which were used even by the top quality names when glass stones became unavailable at any price. Clear rhinestones outline portions of the floral design and to my knowledge are also original. 3 1/2" x 2".

Item: SP5-189

Price: $195.00 US

•••

Description: Thelma Deutsch Starfish Pin and Earring Set - While not all of Thelma's pieces were japanned, her use of this black finish was certainly one of her "trademarks". These pieces are set with light and dark sapphire, Montana and blue aurora borealis rhinestones. The earrings are clip, 1 1/8" in diameter. The brooch is about 2 1/2" in diameter. Excellent original condition. TD sets are difficult to find.

Item: SS5-521

Description: Eisenberg Ice Clear Rhinestone Dog Collar/Choker Necklace - I have heard people say they only collect Eisenberg, not anything marked Eisenberg Ice. Well, they should see this! Huge headlight dentelles are space along the front, separated by marquises and small rhinestone set teardrop shapes that surmount the marquises. Tiny clears for accents. Side "chain" stones are also large dentelles, with typical clear rhinestone chain and adjustable keyhole clasp. Silvertone plating, probably rhodium. Adjustable to not quite 16 1/2". Beautiful condition, beautiful piece. Marked Eisenberg Ice and copyright symbol on clasp.

Description: Eisenberg Ice Multi Topaz/Hyacinth/Clear Rhinestone Brooch and Earrings - Set in goldtone, these pieces use golden and smokey topaz, hyacinth and clear stones in rounds and marquise shapes, brooch also has a few pears. All pieces marked Eisenberg Ice with copyright symbol, excellent condition. Brooch is 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"; earrings are 1 3/8" x 3/4" at widest point. Beautiful color.

Description: Trifari Sterling Vermeil Retro Bracelet with Aqua and Clear Stones - While I was unable to find a patent for this particular design, I think it is safe to assume this is circa mid 1940's. Sterling links set with a line of clear rhinestones alternate with unfoiled aqua glass stones prong set on either side of the linkage. As with most vermeil plating from this time period, this shows signs of wear, and the plating on the back of the connecting links has pretty much worn away. I replaced several missing clear stones, but the vast majority are original. Aqua stones are in excellent shape and a lovely color. Slightly over 7" x 1/2", this is, like most older Trifari, lovely and a fine jewelry look which is complimentary to most women.

Item: SB5-627

Price: $125.00 US

•••

Description: Bogoff Clear Rhinestone Articulated Dangle Earrings - This very typical-for-Bogoff design features two large dentelles (fancy cut rounds) surrounded by smaller clear chatons. Silvertone, clip, excellent condition, with only a slight bit of yellowing to a few of the smallest stones. 1 3/8" x 5/8" at widest point.

•••

Description: Coro Clear Rhinestone Duette with Single Marquises - A classic small Coro duette with a nice cut-out design and clear pave around a single marquise stone on either side. Spring loaded dress clip mechanisms, Pat. 1852188; frame is signed Coro Duette in usual script and Pat. No.1798867, which is I believe a patent for the "duette" concept and not for the design of either the frame itself or the actual design of the clips. 2 1/8" x 9/16" for entire piece, excellent condition.

•••

Description: Eisenberg Ice Clear Rhinestone Bracelet - This lovely piece uses the hook clasp that you occasionally see on Eisenberg pieces of this era (see close of signature for pat. #). Three large marquises are spaced evenly along the piece, with two pave set wings flanking the center marquise. 6mm rounds (non-dentelle) make up the rest of the piece. 7" x 1/2", rhodium plate, safety chain. Excellent condition.

•••

Description: Sarah Coventry "High Fashion" Brooch - At 4 3/4" x 1", this may be the largest brooch that SC did. I have only seen it in these colors, a large smokey topaz marquise at the top, accented with clear rhinestone leaves and border. Goldtone setting. Signed copyright SarahCov. Excellent condition with only some plating loss on the pinstem which of course would not show when worn.

Item: SP5-1118

Price: $37.50 US

•••

Description: BSK Heliotrope Brooch and Earrings Set - Abstract floral design uses large bi-colored stones in blue and purple, set in goldtone. Concave petals surround the center curved triangular stone. Prong set, brooch measures 2 5/8" x 2", clip earrings are 1 1/8" x 15/16". All pieces marked (c) BSK. Excellent condition, I see no flaws here.

•••

Description: Napier Huge Goldtone Floral Brooch - If you think all metal pieces are ho-hum, think again. At almost 5 1/2" x 2" x 1/2" deep, this piece is no wallflower! I can't tell you exactly what flower this is supposed to be but it reminds me of the ruffled petunias I have seen, or perhaps carnations. Excellent condition with only minimal scratching on the stems. Napier continues to catch on with knowledgeable collectors.

•••

Description: Eisenberg Sterling Fur Clip "Spider" - I have seen this piece referred to as the "Arachnid", and also as a stylized floral, so whatever way you see it, this is a great piece! Center unfoiled stone is an unusual hexagon with slightly longer sides, unfoiled and prong set, with fancy faceting. Body of the piece is sterling in an open work design with some clear rhinestones that are paste set. F&K fur clip mechanism is marked sterling, old style Eisenberg font marked on the piece under the center stone. Fur clip tines have bottom guards. Nice, light patina. Excellent condition. One of the best of the old pieces. An identical piece went for slightly more money on Rubylane recently.

•••

Description: Coro Duette "Jeweled Comet" with Blue and Clear Rhinestones, Gilt Setting - Gilt (goldtone) duettes are much less common than silvertone; these are also fur clips, as opposed to dress clips. The frame is marked Coro Duette; each fur clip is marked Coro in script and Des. Pat. Pend. (a little hard to read due to the plating). A little aging to the clear rhinestones, and a small nick to the plating on the back of one fur clip, pin stem has plating wear. Otherwise excellent. 2 3/4" x 1 3/8" assembled, individual clips 1 3/8" x 1 3/8". This "separable brooch" design was patented in 1948. Very retro. Originally sold for $9.00 in 1948.

•••

Description: Weiss Multi Pastel Rhinestone Earrings - I would love to see the matching pieces for these! Really pretty earrings in pink, lime green, jonquil yellow, lavender and light sapphire blue, surrounding a teal colored rhinestone chain line. Goldtone, all prong set, 1 1/4" x 3/4", excellent condition. Signed Weiss on the clipback.

Item: SE5-1116

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Coro Duette in Clear and Green Rhinestones - I have had this design before in all clear stones, and in clear with all the square stones in color, but not just with colored stones at the ends of the squares! Interesting variation (I don't believe these are replacements). 3 1/4" x 1 5/8" assembled, 1 5/8" x 1 5/8" individual dress clips. Frame is marked Coro Duette and pat number for the frame, each clip is marked with a patent number for the clip finding (this type has the spring). Lovely cut out design, the potmetal shows darkening on the hobnails but the stones are in excellent condition for their age. Slightly domed, all works great!

Description: Eisenberg Original Bow Pin - It is said that the clear rhinestones pieces were Eisenberg's "bread and butter" pieces - when you see this in person, you'll think dessert! Beautiful bow is centered with a prong set cushion octagon; each loop of the bow has a huge egg shape, a marquise, and two sizes of ovals, prong set, surrounded by paste set small rounds. Streamers have two sizes of marquises, a large pear, all prong set, and more paste set rounds. Heavy and substantial, marked Eisenberg Original in usual font, stonesetter's circle has a tiny 3. Potmetal setting, small clears are greying slightly as would be expected in any legitimate piece. Large stones have little, if any, of the usual back spotting. Possible teensy chip under one prong on one of the egg shaped stones, otherwise, wonderful, almost pristine vintage condition. 2 1/4" x 1 3/4". This would look wonderful on black velvet (or even just when you are sipping Black Velvet)....
