Description: Red, Blue and Clear Cockade Brooch - This looks very patriotic, though it may be more "French" looking than American. Circa 1930's potmetal piece uses red and dark blue enameling along the ribbons' edge and red enamel at the very center, surrounded by clear rhinestones and having additional clear rhinestones running down each section of ribbon. Enameling is in quite good shape, with some wear along the edges, and the rhinestones all appear to be original. 3" x 2 1/4"

Item: NP4-247

Price: $29.50 US

•••

Description: Multi Jeweltone and Black Enamel Floral Brooch - I have had this brooch in multi pastel faux moonstones, and I am guessing it was done in other variations as well. Floral heads are done in emerald, sapphire and ruby colored "dentelle" cut rounds around center amethyst dentelles. The flowers are set with the tiny colored stones, while the leaves are set with slightly larger rounds. Black enameling is in good shape. 2 1/4" x 1 1/4". Very appealing.

Item: NP4-332

Price: $36.50 US

•••

Description: Aqua and Clear Rhinestone Potmetal Floral - Beautiful design. Aqua marquise Czech stones make up the floral, with clear rhinestone stem, leaves and ribbons. 3" x 1". Silvertone, potmetal. Plating is worn on back and a couple of tiny clears are replacements. Very good condition.

Item: NP4-233

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Hearts and Flowers Gold-filled Victorian Locket - Approximately 3/4" in diameter, this piece is marked 1/20 10K (goldfilled marking) and M.M. for the manufacturer. Back of piece shows rub-wear, original chain is gone (I can procure a new goldfilled chain for you for an additional charge if you wish.) The open heart on the front was probably meant for an initial to be engraved. Very sweet.

Item: NL4-369

Price: $30.00 US

•••

Description: Filigree Floral Brooch with Multi Color Stones - This two layered brooch uses unfoiled glass oval stones in multi jewel tones, prong set in goldtone filigree metal.  A little of the filigree appears silver, either from wear or perhaps not being gilded initially.  Floral motif; about 2" in diameter.

Item: NP4-0004

Price: $35.00 US

•••

Description: Beautiful Pink Faux Moonstone Floral with Clear Rhinestones and Black Enamel - Round pink cabochons sorm the flower heads with clear rhinestones making up the leaves and stems, edged with black enamel. 2 7/8" x 1 1/4" at the widest point. Silvertone, better quality clasp. Whether this is unsigned Trifari or simply a vintage company with a similar look will always remain unknown. As with almost any legitimate 1930's piece, this has slight yellowing on some of the clears, and one is a replacement with a clear of a similar age so it will be extremely difficult to find.

Item: NP4-234

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Multi Jewelton Brooch - This is a substantial 3" x 1 5/8" rectangular brooch, done in purple, emerald green, red, and cobalt blue stones in oval and round shapes, surmounted by filigree florals centered with smaller fire-polished stones of the same colors that also border the piece. Excellent condition with all stones appearing to be original; only various degrees of foiling loss on the back of the stones and plating loss at contact points confirm the age of the piece.

Item: NP4-201

Price: $79.50 US

•••

Description: Heart Shaped Gold Filled Locket with Rose and Green Gold Floral - Signed inside, Walter E. Hayward Co., Attleboro, MA, and goldfilled markings, this locket looks to have never been used. Locket itself measures 1" x 1". Chain is apparently not original, about 22" plus an additional tail extender that does not look original to the chain, nor does the lobster claw clasp look original to the chain. Price is based on the locket. The Walter E. Hayward Company apparently came into being around 1904, succeeding Hayward and Sweet. I would guess this piece to be no later than 1940. The Hayward Company has been purchased by Allison Reed, now based out of East Providence, RI.

Item: NL4-370

Price: $35.00 US

Description: Huge1930's Brooch with Large Green Oval Cabochons - These stones are definitely a dark emerald green in person and in excellent condition. Lots of clear rhinestones go around the edges in rows and were all there except for one that I have replaced. Silvertone potmetal, 3 3/4" x 2" and has quite substantial heft. Great on a blazer, jacket or coat, or even to dress up an evening bag.

Item: NP4-102

Price: $32.50 US

Description: Pair of Glass Pearl/Rhinestone Gilt Dress Clips - Graceful and unusual, these floral bouquet clips use small glass no-hole pearls and tons of teeny pave set clear rhinestones, all in a warm goldtone setting. Note the elongated clip mechanisms, certainly not standard, made to support the length (2 3/4") of the pieces. These may be a Corocraft duette, in which case the Coro marking would have been on the frame; they are extremely close in design, but not identical to, a patent (119,308) for a brooch issued to Coro in 1940. Small chip in the plating on one of the clipbacks; tiny clears have various degrees of grey/yellow but I do not find it distracting in the least. I have replaced the pearls as several were missing, so as to give the original uniformity. 2 3/4" not quite 1" at widest point. Very good restored condition.

Description: Deco Style Potmetal and Rhinestone Necklace with Four Paved Circles - When one thinks of Deco style geometric shapes like rectangles and triangles come to mind - well, circles were also frequently used, as in this lovely piece. Fancy link chain is set with a clear rhinestone in each link (perhaps this is early Bogoff?) and back ends with a fancy foldover clasp which could be worn in front as well as the back. 14" makes it wearable as a dog collar or a choker, depending upon your size.

Item: NN4-065

Price: $72.50 US

•••

Description: Czech Style Necklace with Lavender and Pink Stones - Wonderful necklace in pretty colors, this type of thing doesn't show up very frequently any more. Necklace has three central plaques, with the largest plaque centered with a large unfoiled lavender glass oval stone, flanked by two rose pink oval stones and accented with smaller lavender rounds. The two side plaques each have a blush pink oval and more of the smaller lavender accent stones. Brass setting with a leaf motif, back chain is a heavy rope twist type, push in v clasp. About 16", 1 3/4" at widest point, in excellent condition, (I am guessing that the pink ovals may be replacements, not by me). For times when you want to look like a queen.

Item: NN4-285

Price: $149.50 US

Description: Buckle Motif Necklace - Buckle motif pieces were apparently popular in the 1920's and 1930's, but are much more often seen on bracelets. Here we have it on a necklace. Chain is done with square clear rhinestones in a line, with the buckle pieces over the top of the chain. Buckle pieces are set with small rounds and a single baguette. Hidden push-in clasp is of excellent quality. Necklace measures 14". Stones are in very good condition and only very slightly yellowed. Originally an expensive piece, probably a match to an Allco bracelet. .

Item: NN3-074

Price: $69.50 US

•••

Description: Photo Pin of Young Victorian Woman - Picture and frame are typical of the turn-of-the-century, with safety-pin type clasp, rolled rope edging. Oddly the photo is in quite bad shape though the clear plastic overlay seems completely undamaged, so I am assuming that the photo was quite worn before it was inserted. Approximately 1" in diameter. Slight dings along circumference of frame, otherwise excellent vintage condition. The woman has a lovely, sweet face that is quite haunting. Who was she? We'll never know, but someone in her youth around the turn of the 20th century.

Item: NP4-067

Price: $15.00 US

•••

Description: Large Purple and Clear Rhinestone Dress Clip - Pyramidal design uses prong set rectangular purple rhinestones accented by small clear rounds. Potmetal setting, about 2 1/4" x 2", much too large to have been part of a duette or pair of clips. Beautiful and in excellent condition.

Item: ND4-244

Price: $39.50 US

•••

Description: Silver Cutwork Pin with Clear Stones in Graduated Sizes - Marked "Silver" on the back in the center, this uses the quality "backwards" safety clasp; stones are bead hand set. As would be expected of an approximately 90 year old piece, the stones have darkened and one tiny stone on the end is missing. Otherwise in excellent original condition. 2 3/8" x not quite 1/2" at widest point. Very nice workmanship, probably a relatively expensive piece.

Item: NP4-148

Price: $27.50 US

Description: La Mode Sweetheart Expansion Bracelet and Heart Locket Necklace - This is quite a collector's piece, with both the necklace and bracelet in their original presentation box. The box is in fair shape, with some damage to the exterior top and corrosion to metal frame on the side. Interesting to note that this box actually has a patent number for the design of the box! Interior is a cream watermarked silk inside the lid, bottom is a crushed purple velvet which matches the box lid exterior. (Interior is in very good shape.) Expansion bracelet is marked La Mode in script on the inside of the band and appears to have not been worn, just a little metal wear on one knob. Matching heart locket has the two flowers motif done in "pink gold". Chain is 18", with nice quality thumbless ring clasp. Back of locket has interesting engine turned design. Interior of locket may be marked but it has two pictures of a man, circa 1930? that may be covering them, and I don't wish to remove the pictures. Chain shows darkening but clasp and locket look excellent. A fascinating look at days gone by; I have seen this set online for double the price I am asking.

Description: Topaz and Clear Glass Bead Flapper Necklace - Nicely done 1920's style "endless strand" necklace (no clasp) with seedbead tassle and quality bead stations, this is about 30" for the chain portion and tassle is approximately 3 1/2". The only flaw was that someone had spilled red nail polish between two beads; I was able to remove all the polish on the beads but a small amount got on the stringing where I couldn't get to it (inside the bead hole, see inset). Not seen when worn, could be restrung but I'll leave that to the new owner to decide.

Description: Engel Brothers Slim Baguette and Round Rhinestone Hinged Link Bracelet - This is actually the all-clear rhinestone version of NB4-344, which uses sapphire baguettes on one side. This is all clear, with each of the 12 links using two rows of alternating baguettes and sets of four round rhinestones. Very difficult to photograph, the baguettes are all in nice shape, with the usual greying of some of the rounds. Oddly enough, this uses a push in clasp rather than a foldover clasp as the other one. Marked EB inside a diamond shape. Safety chain is a replacement. 7" x 1/4", with a slim, elegant look and a nice weight. I am guessing this pre-dates the colored version. Great to wear by itself, but also works really nicely with one or more other deco bracelets on the same arm. Versatile enough to wear to work or your next romantic evening!

Item: NB4-355

Price: $59.50 US

•••

Description: Large Blue and Clear Dress Clip - While this would appear to be a variation of a standard 1930's design, I don't believe the clear stones are original to the piece. The blue marquises are a fancy cut with diamond shaped faceting along the edges and would be difficult, if not impossible to replace, which would explain the clear stones. I personally don't find this change to be a distracting one, as it makes the clip possibly more interesting than it would have been with all blue stones and may make it easier to find things it looks good on. 2 1/2" x 2", clip works well. I find the embossed pattern on the clip mechanism to be lovely, from a time when attention to detail in places not seen by the casual observer wasn't all that uncommon. Price reflects the replacement clears.

Item: ND4-330

•••

Description: Copper Colored Sash Pin with Bird Motif - Absolutely beautiful and dimensional design, with our bird between two flowers - I don't know the significance of the rest of the design, if any. 2 3/4" x 2", with usual heavier pin stem and C clasp. Excellent condition.

Item: NP4-295

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Layered Clear Rhinestone Dress Clip with Scalloped Edge - Most dress clips are flat or perhaps slightly domed; this design is made with an upper and lower layer, with the upper layer having 5 marquise clear rhinestones in the center surrounded by a floral and chevron design, with the lower layer a series of rhinestone set loops. At 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" x 3/8" deep, this is perfect for the center of the neckline of your favorite black dress.

Item: ND4-303

Price: $47.50 US

•••

Description: Flat Glass Pearl and Rhinestone Dress Clip - At 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", this is a nice size for a hat, a purse, or the center of a V neck when you want something small. Flattened cream colored glass pearls accent a rhinestone set piece, done in potmetal, with a floral motif. Clip works well, excellent condition. Great price!

Item: ND4-331

Price: $17.50 US

•••

Description: Pair of Gilt Dress Clips with Small Glass Pearls, Aqua and Lavender Rhinestones - A very pretty and uncommon color combination that will look great with contemporary fashion! Tiny glass seed pearls border a center lavender rhinestones, which is in turn surrounded by a row of aqua rhinestones, and then an even larger border of lavender stones. Gilt leaves surround it all. Typical clip mechanisms of this era, possibly Czech. About 1 5/8" in either direction, with the center portion sitting higher than the rest (kind of domed). Plating is worn on the clip mechanisms (top side is fine) ; a few pearls were missing so I replaced them all for uniformity. Very good/excellent restored condition.

Item: NDS4-311

Price: $45.00/pr. US

Description: Allco Blue and Clear Rhinestone Deco Bracelet - One of the many manufacturers of deco bracelets and other types of costume jewelry, Allco (A.L. Lindroth) pieces have usually survived in great shape because they were well made, quality pieces of costume jewelry. This again is a link style with hinges connecting each of the links, which use a blue glass square set at an angle with a clear rhinestone in each corner, alternating with links set with 9 clear rhinestones (3 lines of 3 stones). The clear stones are all bead hand set, and there are only a few of the clears that show a little discoloration from the passage of time. Push in V clasp, 7 1/4" x about 7/16", excellent condition. Lovely to wear by itself or with other bracelets.

Item: NB4-354

Price: $89.50 US

•••

Description: Nov-e-line Demi Parure in Clear Rhinestones - It is extremely rare to find a full demi for this company, partly because it is rare to find anything but the bracelet signed, as is the case here, and partly because it appears the pieces could be purchased individually. The bracelet uses a somewhat typical design for this company, with a central motif flanked by alternating links of baguettes and rounds and all round stones. The bracelet is just under 7" by just over 1/2" at center. The tiny matching brooch uses the central motif of the bracelet, about 1 1/5" x just over 1/2", and has the "backwards" rolling clasp often found in better jewelry of this time period. Necklace uses chain typical for that time period, kind of a cross between a paperclip chain and a figaro, 16", with a spring ring clasp that may be a replacement. Pendant portion is a jointed, two piece design typical for this company, measuring 2". Again, only the bracelet is marked, but the center motifs match and were sold to me as a set. Excellent condition, this is a coup for the Nov-e-line collector.

•••

Description: Art Deco Rhinestone Bracelet - Unsigned but nonetheless a terrific design. Nine rhinestone set links are centered with a clear rhinestone square; rhinestone connecting links and rhinestone set foldover clasp make this a "hidden" clasp, as found in better costume jewelry. Potmetal setting (silvertone), slightly over 7", 1/2" wide. Beautiful condition, all appears to be original.

Item: NB4-357

Price: $65.00 US

•••

Description: Red and Clear Bead Modified Bib Necklace - When I was readying this for sale, I picked up one end and the clasp came off, so I have restrung this for your security. 15 1/2" wearable length, with a safety clasp (unusual for this type of piece); clasp has a spot of place wear about 2mm x 1mm, please see closeup photo. Drop is 1 3/4". Very Downton Abbey.

Item: NN4-356

Price: $39.50 US

•••

Description: Pave Set Clear Rhinestone 3-D Floral Dress Clip - Though probably not an expensive piece originally, this shows great design with the use of curved petals, with the bottom ones layered on top of the stems for a three dimensional look. 3" x 2", weighty feel, clasp is nice and tight. Silvertone potmetal setting. In fluorescent lighting some of the pave looks yellowed, but it disappears in incadescent lighting. The yellowing stones could be replaced if it is bothersome. Perfect for the neckline of your black cocktail dress, nice for a wedding party outfit as it could be seen in a group photo.
