Owned by the Kasoff family and named after Florence Kasoff, this distinctive line not only produced beautiful jewelry but also small non-jewelry items. Dan Kasoff, the company's founder, designed all of the Florenza pieces.
The company was located in New York City, near the garment district, and was started in 1940, with the business closing in 1981.

Description: Florenza Pin Pendant and Ring Set in Faux Turquoise, Pearl and Purple Stones - A pretty color combination in a very versatile set. Pin pendant features three dangles, with the body set with turquoise balls, purple round and pear shaped rhinestones and tiny white glass pearls. Description: Crescent Moon Brooch and Earrings - These certainly look like Florenza but no marking. (In the time period since I originally wrote this description, these have been verified by an expert in Florenza jewelry as, indeed, having been produced by Dan Kasoff, Inc.) Brass colored setting with smokey topaz and clear aurora borealis rhinestones and small glass pearls. Brooch is quite large, 2 3/4" x 2 1/4", clip earrings are 1" in diameter. Excellent condition with some of the small pearls on the brooch being replacements. Much better looking in person than in the photo, and excellent with your brown colored clothing. Description: Florenza Carnival Glass Tulip Bracelet - This piece is Florenza at it's best. Olive green and hyacinth, olive AB and hyacinth AB rhinestones accent the irridescent tulip shaped leaves. Goldtone setting, foldover clasp has an embossed floral pattern. 7 1/8" x 1" and in original, almost mint condition. Description: Florenza Satin Glass/Rhinestone Earrings - Beautiful purple frosted navette cabochons are surrounded with light amethyst rhinestones in a goldtone snake-like setting. Clip backs, earrings are marked on the body of the earrings rather than the clip mechanisms. One or two of the lavender rhinestones is a little bit hazy as is typical of these pieces, but there is little of the glue "bleed thru" visible that normally besets these lovely pieces. Description: Florenza Citrine/Green Specialty Stone Earrings - These earrings matching a really wonderful bracelet and necklace done by Florenza, probably in the 1950's or 1960's; large top stone is 12mm, which surmount an aqua-green flatback "S" shaped stone flanked by two lime green aurora borealis rhinestones, glass pearls and topaz rhinestones. The "S" shaped stones are not in good shape, one is not bad but the other is deteriorating on the flatback; glass pearls are worn. Otherwise in quite good shape, but I am offering them at a nominal price in case you have the "S" stones and can repair these or if you need the earrings for parts, as I highly doubt that the yellow/green stones can be purchased anywhere except on another piece. Description: Florenza Glass Carnelian Cabochon Earrings - These are the match to a Florenza brooch we sold a while back. Center cabochon is surrounded by white faux pearls, clip mechanism, goldtone setting, about 1" in diameter with some depth to them. Description: Florenza Charm Necklace - Three strand nested necklace with each strand featuring a different "charm"; top charm is a small plastic cameo head accented with a purple rhinestone; middle charm is a faux turquoise flanked by small white glass pearls, top-bottom and side-side; bottom charm is an oval faux opal topped with a small round faux opal. Description: Florenza Lipstick Caddy - While this is not jewelry per se, it is a bejeweled item! This vanity item is used to hold four lipsticks, done in goldtone, with creamy white glass pearls and lime green and fuchsia rhinestone accents. Heavy, substantial feel, this looks like it was hardly used; all I can see is a little plate darkening around a couple of the rings, and the goldtone has worn off the part of the feet that would touch where it sat. 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 1".
