Unsigned Dress Clips, Fur (Pin) Clips and Duettes

Dress clips were a staple of women's fashion wardrobes in the first half of the 20th century, with their apex of popularity being 1920-40. Initially meant to be worn at the bottom of a v-neckline or in pairs at the corners of a square or sweetheart neckline, they were eventually used to clip anywhere that "madame" required a fashionable accent - on hats, purses, shoes, gloves, belts, scarves, etc. Fur clips gained popularity in the 1940's; originally called "pin" clips, these were to be used on fur jackets and stolls, and could actually be used on any heavier garment that a brooch mechanism could be used; the pin clip mechanism provided more security than a brooch would.

Duettes were combinations of a pair of dress or fur clips clipped into a metal frame with a brooch type finding (pinstem) so that you could wear the clips separately or combine them into a large piece and use it as a brooch. Sometimes the metal frames were decorative so that you could wear the frame by itself; these are more rare than the conventional duettes. Mechanisms were even made to house three and even four items and are quite rare. Most duette patents date to the mid to late 1920's and duettes themselves were sold well into the 1950's. Coro was the largest producer of duettes but most of the well known companies produced at least a few. Trifari duettes are marked "Clipmates". Most duettes, if signed, are signed on the metal frame instead of the clips, so if they become separated from the frame they become much harder to identify as far as manufacturer/designer.

The following pieces are all unsigned; you will find signed clips and duettes divided by manufacturer in the signed section of the site, particularly on the page of Coro items (Clipmates will be found on the Trifari page). Bakelite dress clips will be found in the Copper, Silver, Plastics, and Other section of the site on pages 5 and 6.

Description: Pink and Light Blue Faux Moonstone Dress Clip - This pretty accent clip is slightly domed, about 1 3/4" in diameter. Eight oval shaped pink cabochon stones in sawtooth settings encircle a large round light blue center cabochon. Was this a single or half of a pair? I'm not certain, but it seems too large to have been a pair. Regardless, it is perfect for the center of a V neckline or any place else you'd like to clip it. Excellent condition.

Item: ND1-363

Price: $24.50 US

Description: Pave Set Clear Rhinestone 3-D Floral Dress Clip - Though probably not an expensive piece originally, this shows great design with the use of curved petals, with the bottom ones layered on top of the stems for a three dimensional look. 3" x 2", weighty feel, clasp is nice and tight. Silvertone potmetal setting. In fluorescent lighting some of the pave looks yellowed, but it disappears in incadescent lighting. The yellowing stones could be replaced if it is bothersome. Perfect for the neckline of your black cocktail dress, nice for a wedding party outfit as it could be seen in a group photo.

Item: ND4-358

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Deco Style Dress Clip in Emerald Green and Clear Rhinestones - Wonderful lines make this a perfect accent for the person who loves Art Deco. These lines are set with small clear rhinestones, and accented with three strips of green channel set squares, one at bottom center and two flanking the top center, with two small clear squares at top center. Cut-out in center can be seen in picture below, where whatever fabric this was clipped to would show through. Silvertone setting, fancy design on clip, which has excellent tension. A few of the small clears have greyed, as would be expected of a legitimate 80 year old piece, but the vast majority of these stones have excellent sparkle. 1 3/4" x 1 1/2" at widest point, nice weight, quality piece. Perfect for the center of that low-cut holiday party dress.

Item: ND3-348

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Brass Filigree Dress Clip with Single Emerald Green Glass Stone - Beautiful filigree in two sections curves over the top of a cut out lower frame, with a single prong set rectangular green stone in the middle. This has a 1920's feel. 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" at widest point. This has a little more play in the tension that usual but will still hold on any fabric that isn't lightweight. Tiny, tiny chip on right hand bottom corner of stone that I didn't notice until I photoed, can be seen under loupe but not in regular observation. Perfect for the drawing room at Downton Abbey, or at your next special event.

Item: ND3-349

Price: $29.50 US

•••

Description: Heart Motif Dress Clip in All Green Rhinestones - Heart shaped leaves set with light emerald green rhinestones grace the bottom and top of this lovely dress clip, with a scalloped border also set with the same green stones. Center has an emerald green dentelle, surrounded by six oval stones in a slightly lighter green - there is a little variation in the greens of the ovals, looks like there might be a couple replacements but they are so close that it doesn't detract. 2" x 1 1/4", good tension on the clip. Brass setting, slight plate wear to clip finding.

Item: ND3-350

Price: $39.50 US

•••

Description: Raspberry Moonglow, Enamel and Clear Rhinestone Duette - Okay, here is a mystery piece. This is identical to a well known Coro duette except for two things - the Coro duette uses clear rhinestones instead of the "hobnails" that you see here, and the Coro duette frame is signed. Is it, or isn't it? Only Miss Clairol knows.... Excellent condition.

Item: UD6-938

Price: $89.50 US

•••

Description: Blue Enamel and Blue Rhinestone Fur Clip - Another piece that looks to be unsigned Coro, with the enamel exactly matching the signed pieces I have had. The trembler here appears to have "painted" rhinestones, something that I think happened in the 1940's when stone shortages made people get creative. A few of the stones on the trembler appear to be replacements as they don't match the painted stones, but I am reluctant to try to take them out for fear of damaging the trembler spring. Otherwise great condition, about 2 1/4" x 1 7/8". Goldtone.

Item: UF6-939

Price: $59.50 US

•••

Description: Pair of Gilt Faux Pearl and Rhinestone Dress Clips - Set in gilded metal with a leaf motif, these dress clips feature creamy glass "flat" pearls that you only seem to find in pieces from this time period, surrounded by clear paste-set rhinestones and clear baguette accents. The clears are in excellent condition; gilding shows some wear at the top of each clip; one shows slightly more aging colorwise. Clips are tight, pearls are unscuffed and beautiful. Each dress clip is 1 3/4" x 1 1/8". Very nice for the dress clip wearer when the much more often found all rhinestone pieces don't look right.

Item: NDS3-329

Price: $29.50/pair US

•••

Description: Large Blue and Clear Dress Clip - While this would appear to be a variation of a standard 1930's design, I don't believe the clear stones are original to the piece. The blue marquises are a fancy cut with diamond shaped faceting along the edges and would be difficult, if not impossible to replace, which would explain the clear stones. I personally don't find this change to be a distracting one, as it makes the clip possibly more interesting than it would have been with all blue stones and may make it easier to find things it looks good on. 2 1/2" x 2", clip works well. I find the embossed pattern on the clip mechanism to be lovely, from a time when attention to detail in places not seen by the casual observer wasn't all that uncommon. Price reflects the replacement clears.

Item: ND4-330

Price: $24.50 US

•••

Description: Flat Glass Pearl and Rhinestone Dress Clip - At 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", this is a nice size for a hat, a purse, or the center of a V neck when you want something small. Flattened cream colored glass pearls accent a rhinestone set piece, done in potmetal, with a floral motif. Clip works well, excellent condition. Great price!

Item: ND4-331

Price: $17.50 US

Description: Eisenberg Look Clear Dress Clip - First let me hasten to say that I don't believe that this is an unsigned Eisenberg dress clip, though the design, stone quality, clip mechanism and even to a certain extent the stone setting give this an uncanny look-alike feel. A large top rectangular stone surmounts three huge dentelles, all surrounded by large marquises and all topped off with small interspersed paste set rounds. 2 3/4" x 1 3/4". Condition issues - most of the marquises have greyed slightly, one at the top right has a very tiny chip along the edge, and the stone below it is a replacement. The rectangular and round stones are fine. Silvertone setting. If you want the look of an EO without the price, here's your opportunity.

Item: UD11-863

Price: $59.50 US

•••

Description: Pair of Glass Pearl/Rhinestone Gilt Dress Clips - Graceful and unusual, these floral bouquet clips use small glass no-hole pearls and tons of teeny pave set clear rhinestones, all in a warm goldtone setting. Note the elongated clip mechanisms, certainly not standard, made to support the length (2 3/4") of the pieces. These may be a Corocraft duette, in which case the Coro marking would have been on the frame; they are extremely close in design, but not identical to, a patent (119,308) for a brooch issued to Coro in 1940. Small chip in the plating on one of the clipbacks; tiny clears have various degrees of grey/yellow but I do not find it distracting in the least. I have replaced the pearls as several were missing, so as to give the original uniformity. 2 3/4" not quite 1" at widest point. Very good restored condition.

Description: Pair of Gilt Dress Clips with Small Glass Pearls, Aqua and Lavender Rhinestones - A very pretty and uncommon color combination that will look great with contemporary fashion! Tiny glass seed pearls border a center lavender rhinestones, which is in turn surrounded by a row of aqua rhinestones, and then an even larger border of lavender stones. Gilt leaves surround it all. Typical clip mechanisms of this era, possibly Czech. About 1 5/8" in either direction, with the center portion sitting higher than the rest (kind of domed). Plating is worn on the clip mechanisms (top side is fine) ; a few pearls were missing so I replaced them all for uniformity. Very good/excellent restored condition.

Item: NDS4-311

Price: $45.00/pr. US

•••

Description: Pair of Rhinestone Set Gilt Dress Clips - Gilt (goldtone)settings are much less common than their silvertone sisters; here we have a great pair of dress clips in a cut-out, shield shaped design that is all rhinestone set and slightly domed. At 1 3/4" x 1 3/8", these are slightly larger than usual. Slight aging of stones and metal on the back of the clip mechanisms show that these were worn, not put in a box! Clips have excellent tension, very nice!

Description: Layered Clear Rhinestone Dress Clip with Scalloped Edge - Most dress clips are flat or perhaps slightly domed; this design is made with an upper and lower layer, with the upper layer having 5 marquise clear rhinestones in the center surrounded by a floral and chevron design, with the lower layer a series of rhinestone set loops. At 2 1/8" x 1 1/2" x 3/8" deep, this is perfect for the center of the neckline of your favorite black dress.

Item: ND4-303

Price: $47.50 US

•••

Description: Eisenberg Look Clear Rhinestone Dress Clip - This heavy, massive feeling dress clip has all the earmarks of an Eisenberg Original but no markings. The dress clip mechanism matches the type sometimes used by Eisenberg. The heavy pronging is the same, along with the open back settings and same general design. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck,....Anyway, this piece uses oval shaped clear rhinestones in three different sizes, with pave set intertwining curved lines. Substantial weight, about 2 1/2" x 2 1/4". Excellent condition, with one small oval showing some aging.

Item: ND5-305

Price: $95.00 US

•••

Description: Huge Deco Style Dress Clip - At 4" x 2 1/4" this is one of the largest dress clips I have ever had. Cut out design is done with parallel rows of lines in v shapes, alternately set with square clear rhinestones and round clear rhinestones. The points of each of the three main sections terminate with unusual flatback triangular clear rhinestones, with the very top using a different pattern of squares and a single baguette. Clip mechanism is the type that Eisenberg was known to frequently use, but no markings and this does not really seem like something Eisenberg would have selected for their designs. I have taken two pictures of the front, one without flash and one with flash. Excellent condition, with some mild yellowing to the triangular stones.

Item: ND5-306

Price: $99.50 US

•••

Description: Deep Pink Moonstone and Rhinestone Dress Clip - Truly an unusual color which borders on fuchsia depending on the lighting, this is undoubtedly a single, rather than half of a pair, at 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". Potmetal setting is a darkened silver color, clip mechanism works well, all is in excellent condition. Any halo you may see in the picture around the center oval cabochon is, I believe, a reflection of some residual glue that you do not see in person. Nice weight.

Item: ND5-292

Price: $79.50 US

•••

Description: Large Golden Topaz Glass Dress Clip - A well-above-average piece in size and components, this features unfoiled glass stones in dentelle rounds and pears, all prong set. Substantial dress clip mechanism similar to ones I have seen on better Trifari clips, but I do not think this is a Trifari piece. About 2 1/4" in diameter. Other than one small ding in one round stone this appears to be in excellent condition.

Item: ND5-293

Price: $79.50 US

•••

Description: Asymmetrical Dress Clip with Pink Moonstone Glass Cabochons and Clear Rhinestones - Always a charming combination, this piece uses 9 pink cabochons and lots of smaller clear rhinestones. Silvertone potmetal setting, piece is a nice weight. 2" wide, 1 3/4" top to bottom. I removed a lot of excess, yellowed glue. Mild scratching on the cabochons not visible to the casual observer. Clip is tight, very nice overall piece.

Item: ND5-294

Price: $49.50 US

•••

Description: Pair of Dress Clips with Unfoiled Aqua Glass Pears - Czech type clips with unfoiled glass pears in the center, surrounded with large fire-polished rounds and pear shaped stones at either end of the top of the clip. Goldtone setting, clips work nicely, all stones prong set. 1 1/2" x 1 1/4". Very nice condition.

Item: ND3-287

Price: $52.50 US

•••

Description: Multi Jeweltone Dress Clip - A versatile dress clip that will go with many popular clothing colors, this uses unfoiled glass oval stones that have been prong set into a pyramidal design. The red stones lean more to the raspberry red rather than fire-engine, very pretty. At 2 1/4" x 1 5/8", this was almost certainly meant to be worn as a single. Goldtone setting. A bit of play in the clip but still works well on any thicker fabric. Excellent condition

Item: ND1-271

Price: $47.50 US

••••

Description: Mint Green Shoebutton Dress Clip - Some collectors feel these are early KTF (Trifari) pieces but this is unmarked. Kind of a bunch of grapes motif, with large gilt leaves over the top, and green cabochon rounds centered with a single clear rhinestones. Giltwork around the cabs also has many clear rhinestones. Whether this originally had black enameling on the veining is unknown, as the leaves are somewhat worn and if there was something on the high points is has long since worn off. The cabs are in good shape and an unusual color, all rhinestones are present and look to be original, with normal slight aging. As mentioned, the gilding as worn off of the leaves in spots and on the veining and top "stem", otherwise very nice with clip having excellent tension. I love the attention to detail on the clip mechanism, which to me looks late 1920's-early 1930's. 2 1/8" x 1 1/2".

Item: ND1-272

Price: $49.50 US

••••

Description: Red and Clear Floral Motif Fur Clip - Done with red rhinestone baguettes in gilt metal with clear rhinestone pave in silvertone (as in fine jewelry) this is almost certainly Coro, and probably half of a duette. (Duettes were usually marked on the frames but not on the inidividual dress or fur clips). At 2 1/2" x 1 3/8", though, it is large enough to stand on its own. Whatever it is, it is in excellent original condition, with the fur clip mechanism in excellent working condition.

Item: UF2-799

Price: $49.50 US

••••

Description: Unusual Trembler Dress Clip - Okay, how many times have you seen a dress clip done in a coppertone finish? Bell flower shaped three-dimensional center has a trembler stamen of baguettes and a glass pearl (unfortunately the trembler part doesn't do too much trembling) and is set with lots of clear rhinestones. Side ribbons are accented with small florals of glass pearls and smokey topaz rhinestone centers. Dress clip mechanism has a lot of play in it and needs to be tightened, but other than the noted mechanical issues this is in excellent cosmetic shape. For the clip collector looking for the unusual, this would be it.

Item: UD7-774

Price: $49.50 US

••••

Description: Coro Look Unsigned Trembler Fur Clip - This looks exactly like all the other Coro floral fur clips of this genre that I have seen but I cannot find the signature if there is one. Goldtone with unusual deep maroon-brown enamel, the rhinestones are all clear squares, and squares and rounds on the trembler, which really trembles well. The clip has good snap, about 2 " x 1 1/2". Excellent condition.

Item: UF7-773

Price: $59.50 US

••••

Description: Topaz Rhinestone Navette Dress Clip - I have had this same design before in all clear rhinestones, here it is in a warm topaz color. All stones are prong set, original, and in very good condition. Potmetal setting, clip works well. Little oval marks on each marquise setting seems to be a casting mark but if it has any significance I don't know what it is. 2 3/8" x 1 3/4".

Item: ND2-262

Price: $34.50 US

•••

Description: Topaz Rhinestone Czech Style Dress Clip - This lovely little work of art is done in goldtone metal that has mellowed color-wise over time, and is completely set with topaz colored rhinestone pears and small rounds. There is a marking that looks like it might be L/N but it is poorly enough struck that it is hard to tell, however, please see the similarities between this piece and the L/N brooch NP2-265. Excellent condition, everything looks original. 2" x 1 3/8".

Item: ND2-263

Price: $39.50 US

•••

Description: Pair of Ruby Red and Clear Rhinestone Dress Clips - A kind of amorphic design made up entirely of prong set pear shaped stones in an openbacked setting, edged with faux bezel set clear rhinestones. Potmetal setting. The red stones are the raspberry colored stones used in higher quality jewelry of the time; my "gut" is that these are unsigned Eisenberg but I have no proof of this. Each clip is 2" x 1 1/2", very good condition, with only slight wear on the foiling of the red stones which is not visible from the front. One clip looks as if someone has added some glue to the underside of the colored stones, which makes no sense since they are prong set.

Item: UDS4-715

Price: $85.00/pr. US

•••

Description: Pair of Deco Red/Clear Dress Clips - Oddly enough, I bought these separately, a couple of years apart. A double row of clear stones is flanked with pronged, flatback red baguettes, which are then bordered with a single row of clears, in a stepped design. Embossed clips are tight, potmetal setting. Some minor plating issues can be seen on the clip mechanisms in the second picture. I have taken both a flash and non-flash picture - the yellowing of the clears is somewhere in between, if you like a "brand new" look you will probably want to have the clears restoned. At 1 3/4" x 7/8", these are a larger pair, but while they could be worn singly I do believe they originally came in pairs at this size. Get out your red dress and clip these on the neckline for 30's glamour.

Item: ND5-238

Price: $39.50/pair US

•••

Description: Pink Floral Motif Dress Clip - Done in all pink stones, this features three sizes of pear (teardrop) rhinestones, ovals and rounds. Stylized florals graduate in size from top to bottom with a border around the center flower. 2 7/8" x 1 1/2", and quite heavy. Potmetal setting, all stones are paste set. Excellent condition.

Item: ND3-231

Price: $89.50 US

•••

Description: Faux Jade? and Marcasite Dress Clip - The green marquise cabochons on this piece almost have a cats-eye appearance to them, but whether its that or faux jade, they are a soft moss green. Surrounded by marcasites in a kind of shield shape design, this is silvertone potmetal, 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" at widest points. Excellent condition.

Item: ND2-229

Price: $47.50 US

•••

Description: Purple Stone and Marcasite Dress Clip - This matches a necklace that I sold awhile back. Seven oval shaped purple stones (unfoiled) make up a kind of floral motif in the center of the piece, surrounded by cast florets centered with a small marcasite. Gilt metal, spring type clip mechanism marked with Pat. 1852188. 1 3/4" x 1 1/4", excellent condition. Marcasite on center lower floret is smaller than the rest and may be a replacement (not by me).

Item: ND2-230

Price: $42.50 US

••

Description: Unsigned Eisenberg Original With Unfoiled Amber Colored Stones - This huge retro design is either a "back in the day" reproduction or an unsigned Eisenberg, as I have had this same piece with a legitimate signature. 4" x 2 1/4", this uses oval, round and cushion rectangular cabochons, as well as two "gumdrop" cabs, along with an unfoiled topaz colored dentelle and a few clears dotting the side. The large stones are all heavy prong set; only the 4 clears that spring the perimeter are paste set. Much of the original goldtone plating has been worn away and the clears have darkened, otherwise this is in excellent shape with only a few minute scratches to the cabochons. Fur clip mechanism works very well; there is even the circle for the stonesetters mark but it is not filled in. If this were signed it would command a substantially higher price.

Item: UF1-625

Price: $149.50 US

•••

Description: Fur Clip with Dark Blue Faux Moonstone Cabochons - We have found the identical piece as the one above, except this time using dark blue glass moonstone no-hole balls. Set in silvertone metal and accented with clear rhinestones along the leaves. 3" x 1 1/2". Again, probably Coro, but unsigned. Note the slight difference in the back vs. the pink one.

Item: UF5-617

Description: Multi Pastel Glass Moonstone Cabochon Dress Clips - Done in a modified fan shape, with lots of clear rhinestones and black enamel border. Clip mechanisms work well and are pretty in their own right! 1 1/2" x 1 3/8". Enamel is in excellent shape, only one or two rhinestones are replacements. The bottom pink cab on the left has a slight dimple that is not noticeable, in fact, I did not see it even during cleaning, but the good ol' flash camera picked it up!

Description: Unsigned Early Haskell Beaded Dress Clip - Pretty brown mottled beads are sewn onto dress clip and anchored with clear silver-lined seed beads. Back of clip is marked "HETL Reg. Description: Unsigned Haskell Beaded Dress Clip - Small dress clip exhibits the components and construction of Haskell. Quality white glass beads are sewn into place and secured with green seed beads and topped with two green glass leaves. Description: Unsigned Haskell Dress Clip - When I found the dress clip pictured on the top picture, it had a plastic perforated back and was almost identical to another unsigned Haskell dress clip that I had in my personal collection. (See middle picture of both clips side by side.) Unfortunately when I tested the clip to make sure it worked properly, the plastic perforated back cracked and started to fall apart. So I decided to take it completely apart and re-sew it to a metal perforated back (see bottom picture). The top picture shows the completed piece. It should now be ready for another 70 or so years! About 2 1/4" x 1 3/4", with high quality crystal in graduated sizes and small seed beads at the end of each dangle. Brass leaves at top of piece are in two sections.

Description: Brass and Turquoise/Coral Colored Bead Pair of Dress Clips - These were identified by a Haskell expert as being Haskell, however, I do not believe that they are, though they certainly use colors/components similar to the ones Haskell used. Floral and leaf design is done in brass, with aqua enameled bead centers on the flowers and coral bead "berries" in the center of the design. Headpins for the coral beads are the old rounded head style. (note that the aqua beads are glued and not wired). These clips have seen better days - 2 of the aqua beads are chipped, and three of the coral beads are missing. One clip has some beginning greening (much worse in picture due to flash on camera). However, clip mechanisms are tight and finding a pair of dress clips in this size (2" x 1") and color combination is pretty difficult, and our price is right!

Description: Czech Type Multi-Jeweltone Dress Clip in a Shield Design - While this is a larger (2" x 1 3/4") dress clip, I am guessing that it was originally part of a pair. Done in fire polished rhinestones in blue, red, light emerald, lavender and topaz. I replaced a few missing stones. Excellent condition. Just right to go in the center of that camisole top you're wearing out tonight!

Description: Large Clear Dress Clip Very nice stones in this 3" x 2.375" clip. Setting is open-backed, stones are foil backed. There is a minimal amount of foil removal from rubbing during wear, but does not detract from the piece. Baguettes, marquises, squares and one large oval, set in potmetal, clip works well. Stunning focal point for any V-necked dress or top.

Item: UD5-054

Description: Multi Pastel Rhinestone Dress Clip - Another great Czech look piece that may be L/N, S in a star, or lots of other companies that have been lost to history.  Rhinestones in pink, lime green, light blue, lavender and golden topaz colors make this wearable with many colors of both casual and dress clothes.  Put in a V neckline, on a blazer pocket, on a black cord necklace - the possibilities for this piece are endless.

Description: Goldtone and Clear RS Retro Dress Clip - Don't you just love the volute styling on this piece? A sizeable 2 3/4" x 2" makes this an unusual piece and very wearable, especially with the low-cut V necklines that will be everywhere this spring. Wear this to a party or out to dinner and be the envy of all the fashionistas.

Description: Red Horseshoe Fur Clip - Whether this is supposed to be a floral horseshoe, I'm not sure, but this is a cool piece!  Gilted brass with 8 unfoiled emerald-cut red glass stones, and red plastic stones at the center of the flowers.  About 2 5/8" x 1 1/2"; this piece has a little moisture damage, mostly on the reverse, but is priced accordingly.

Description: Unsigned Coro Half of Duette - Probably the most sought after by collectors Coro items are the duettes, and the faux moonstone duettes are some of the most popular items. This is a well-known design, but all I have is one of the two fur clips that would have made up the duette. (Coro duettes were almost always signed on the duette frame rather than the individual fur or dress clips). Anyway, the fur clip is in excellent condition, it just needs its mate! Perhaps you have it. About 1 3/8" x 1", dark blue glass moonstone cabs, blue enamel and clear rhinestones.

Description: Clear Rhinestone Dress Clip with Blue Square Stones & ZigZag Edge - This elegant clip is just the ticket for a dark blue v-neck top or to clip to a blue hat or clutch purse. At 2" x 1" it is small enough not to be conspicuous but large enough to be seen. Potmetal setting, circa 1930. Unusual zigazg pattern on bottom edge.

Description: Blue Faux Moonstone Dress Clip with Clear Rhinestones - Shield shape design with lots of prong set light blue faux moonstones. Design almost looks like there should be something at the center but I can find no sign of anything missing. Clip mechanism works well and is the type used by Eisenberg, but I have no reason to believe that this is an Eisenberg piece. Large 2 3/4" x 1 3/4" size is still very wearable. I have recently found a second, identical one, so I have two for sale.

Description: Pair of Dress Clips with Brass Leaves and Dark Green Glass Stones - Pairs of colored dress clips are becoming increasingly hard to find. These are probably Czech and have their original patina. All stones are prong set; clips measure 1 7/8" x 1 3/8".

Item: ND2-057

Price: $65.00 US

Description: Pair of Dress Clips with Multicolored Rhinestones - While this is the same design and colorization, these two clips are both set randomly with aqua, pink, gold, purple, medium blue and green colored rhinestones, so the color arrangement is not identical; regardless it is a cool set and much prettier in person. Center of clip is cut out so whatever fabric it is on will show thru. Each clip is about 2" x 1 1/2", large enough so that you could even wear them separately, but coordinate your ensemble - for example, put one on your jacket pocket and one over the clasp of an envelope style purse.

Description: Early Unsigned Duette - While Coro made the bulk of the duettes found on the secondary market today, many other companies made them, also.  This well-made duette is unsigned and is on the larger side ( 2 1/4" x 1 1/8") and separates into two dress clips.  Nicely done cut-out pattern is symmetrical and features baguettes and marquises as well as round clear rhinestones. Clips slide off of metal frame.

Item: UM5-062

Price: $65.00 US

Description: Purple Rhinestone Gilt Duette - Many companies beside Coro made duettes; this one is unsigned except for Pat. 1945268. All stones appear to be original. As a longtime duette enthusiast, I would consider this to be rare in both stone and plating color. Excellent condition. 2 3/4" x 1 3/8".
